Bravery

Being brave doesn't mean that you're not scared. It means that you're scared, and that you do the thing that you're afraid of anyway.

I'm far from a big fan of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), but I do like these opening lines of a quotation that appears on one of their coming out posters.

I agree with the remaining sentiment that coming out is an act of bravery.

Still, I disagree that coming out is necessarily the most important thing I do on any given day.
